Mathematics With a Difference! 30/11/20
Here at Rosedale College, our A Level Mathematics students have been working extremely hard towards their trial examinations, and we have been looking at different styles of learning to help give our students the best chance to score high! Assessment for learning (AFL) is an approach that creates feedback which is then used to improve students’ performance.
Our Post 16 teachers have recently used this technique in class with mini-whiteboards, and within a few minutes of starting, students were engaging and asking probing questions, allowing the teachers to easily understand what level of previous knowledge the students had and thus, guide their next steps. Students really enjoyed experimenting with different tecniques, and felt they really gained in confidence, knowing what they are expected to learn and to what standard. Keep up the good work!
