Alliance Challenge 26/07/21
The bright, blue sky supported by the shining, summer sun set the perfect stage for all of our students to embark on our annual Alliance Challenge where they participated in an array of sporting and creative activities. Individual and group challenges were set for all students to secure the most possible points for their Alliance whilst also excelling personally. Students set and combatted personal targets to ensure they were pushing themselves and continuing to excel in all possible disciplines.
From Tug of War, Football, Dodgeball to Cooking, Spelling Bee and Mental Mathematics – a vast variety of activities were on offer for our students to offer them a broad and balanced diet for the week.
Students were engaged, enthused and passionate about their contributions to the challenges throughout the week. A large majority of students impressed both staff, and their peers with their: resilient approach to completing set challenges; the responsibility they displayed when collating materials to add that certain ‘je ne sais quoi’ to a finished product and their resourceful management of team sheets to promote equality, as well as securing talent.
We were very impressed with the calibre of talent that was showcased – our students did themselves proud!
Congratulations to the Technology Alliance for coming first, Performing Arts for coming second and Mathematics for coming third!
