Students Return to College! 22/06/20
On Monday 15th June, Rosedale College opened its doors to a different look with temperature checks and hand sanitisers. The staff were eager and ready to get going with newly formed 'bubbles'. Teachers sought to reboot their energy tanks, fuelling the embers of their minds with discussions on various topics across the subjects on offer - English, Mathematics, History and Science, to name a few.
Post 16 students attended their lessons for Engineering, Physics, Media, Cambridge Technicals in Information Technology (IT), BTEC IT and History. These lessons were highly productive as students benefited from more one-to-one support, facilitated by smaller class sizes. Students attended a session on UCAS and the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), spearheaded by Dr Nightingale and Miss Patel, where they were introduced to the process of applying, how to conduct effective research into courses, modules and universities, and the details of the EPQ. Students have already started pulling at threads such as the Ottoman Empire, Greek Mythology, Anime and even tax evasion!
