Cricket, Wickets and Victory! 30/01/20

Rosedale College had an exceptional year in 2019 celebrating victory with the cricket teams. 

On Wednesday 19th June our Year 8 team beat Uxbridge High to continue their undefeated run. Winning the toss and electing to bat, Rosedale scored 130 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 14 overs. 

On Monday 24th June, our year 7 cricket team travelled to Guru Nanak. The team bowled and fielded exceptional restricting Guru Nanak to 24 runs. It was the Year 7 teams first fixture, showing nerves however rising to the occasions by putting on a professional however ruthless performance.

On Wednesday 26th June, our year 7 team then travelled to Oakwood School for their second fixture of the season. After our first performance the team was high on confidence and going into the game with a great mindset. The team tried their best to chase Oakwood’s total of 86, however it proved too great and the team were bowled out for 40 runs.

On Thursday 27th June our Year 8 cricket team beat Bishopshalt to continue their undefeated run and secure a place in the Borough semi-final against Queensmead.
