Technology Thrive at Open Evening 30/09/19
The Technology and ICT alliances were very busy during our Year 6 open evening, held on Tuesday 24th September. In Technology, a number of Key Stage 4 students were demonstrating their excellent engineering skills and ensuring parents and students were given a good overview of the excellent facilities technology has to offer. ICT was another busy area with parents and students very enthusiastic and understanding of the importance of students learning ICT and computing skills. Food Technology was, as always, a main area of parent focus on the open evening. A group of willing volunteers from Year 8 and 10 helped in the preparation of a number of food dishes to present to the parents and potential Year 7 students. As usual, their hard work was rewarded with very positive feedback from students and parents alike who were delighted with the culinary skills Rosedale students demonstrated. The many dishes they prepared went down very well and there was absolutely nothing left at the end of the evening. All guests left with positive comments and thoroughly enjoyed the Food Technology visit. Students and staff need to again be commended for their excellent effort across the Alliance.
