Post 16 Provision
The Rosedale Hewens Academy Trust is committed to providing a comprehensive range of courses for Post 16 learners. Rosedale College has a vibrant and popular Post 16 Centre.
The offer provides students with the opportunity to access a whole range of experiences both within and beyond the curriculum through a wide range of academic and vocational courses, designed to meet the needs of all learners. A number of courses are offered at AS and A2 Level as well as opportunities for vocational study.
Good quality teaching, along with high expectations and strong leadership, means students thrive in Post 16. The College has a proven track record of adding value to all of the students' overall achievement, with many going on to undergraduate courses at university.
Post 16 learners are encouraged to be active and make use of the floodlit synthetic pitch and refurbished sports hall. Students are also encouraged to take an active role within the College Council, by having a key role in the wider decision-making process.
Students are given support and guidance on all aspects of their educational career, ranging from course choices at Rosedale to helping with university preparation.
Post 16 learners must adhere to the dress code by wearing plain suits or smart separates. All items must be of standard length and suitable for the workplace. A professional appearance is vitally important and learners are required to be excellent role models by acting in a mature and sensible manner at all times. Under no circumstances, will jeans or casual wear be permitted. The Principal has the discretion not to admit learners on a daily basis if their appearance is deemed as inappropriate.
